Gensyn Protocol
The Gensyn Protocol is a hyperscale, cost-efficient layer-1 compute protocol for deep learning models. The network directly incentivizes compute providers that pledge compute time to the network and perform machine learning tasks.
As a decentralized network, Gensyn achieves cost-efficiency by omitting costly intermediaries and administrative overseers. Instead, smart contracts are used to facilitate the distribution of tasks and payments programmatically.
The fundamental challenge in building a trustless compute network lies in verifying completed ML work. Checking the honesty of compute providers by simply re-doing their work would not only double the operations required (“single replication”) but it would also generate an infinite replication chain in which one verifier would be required to examine the work of another one.
Gensyn addresses the problem of verifying compute work by solving the infinite-chain problem, described in the following section.
